Crumley Roberts will travel to the Touch a Truck Family Festival event on Sun., Sept. 30 at The Palace at Kenton Place in Cornelius. The event will allow children to climb in and explore a variety of vehicles, including emergency vehicles (fire trucks, police cars), NASCAR vehicles, construction vehicles, boats, helicopters, mascots, and much more. Pony rides will also be offered.
Concessions will be available for purchase, and although admission is free, donations can be made to benefit Addi’s Cure. Touch a Truck started in 2007 as a fund raiser for Addi’s Cure, a non-profit benefiting cancer research. The firm will also be conducting a Bike Safety Rodeo on Fri., Oct. 12, at Eastlawn Elementary School in Burlington. Crumley Roberts will be giving away bike helmets to each student, and will also donate two bikes to raffle off for children who have perfect attendance during Eastlawn’s fall break, Oct. 8-12. The purpose of attendance during the break is to receive additional academic support in reading and math, and these commitments will be honored during the bike rodeo celebration.
On Sat., Oct. 13, Crumley Roberts’ SafetyZone will then travel to the new Virginia College campus in Greensboro, to take part in a “Safety Day” event. This event is open to students and the public. Crumley Roberts’ staff will offer free car seat checks and safety information to attendees.
The Crumley Roberts SafetyZone promotes adult and youth injury prevention through bike safety events, water safety presentations, child car safety checks, and sports safety clinics.
